Okay, I just wanted to answer this because I fell in love with the question. What a beautiful question.

At my grandmother’s funeral I was struck with how much I learned about her then that I never knew when she was alive. It really made me sorry that I didn’t know her better. For example, I knew she was an outdoorsy person but I had no idea she was also a computer programmer until I found out at her funeral. She programmed computers back when computers were the size of rooms.

She was apparently an expert on clouds.

My suggestion is to ask her about her life while you still have the chance. Cherish her stories and make her feel like her memories and experiences are valued. Imagine all the cool stories you could tell people about your grandma to your friends.
