I am a follower of ProGrad on Instagram. And I came to know through my college that ThoughtWorks is exclusively hiring women for the Developer role and that it is a train and hire program by ProGrad. I wanted to give it a try. The recruitment process for the training program was a great learning experience.

The training program began in mid Jan and I also had my college exams were also scheduled during the same time. I was a bit skeptical if I could manage both at the same time, but I should mention the team from Prograd was very supportive and helped me manage the training program and my exams well. The training program went on smoothly and I learnt a lot of new things. Prograd team kept motivating and encouraging us at all times. They always inspired us to learn and explore new things. There have been times when I had to complete college assignments and projects, but Prograd team gave us time to complete them as well without a chaos.

The training programs at college used to be one-many sessions and we rarely get to share our feedback. But this training program was completely different. We had individual attention from the mentors and we could regularly share our feedback without any hesitation during the one-one sessions. Our views were always heard.

The mentors were calm and very supportive at all times. They guided us through the right path. They taught us how to think through a problem and arrive at the solution. I really liked the feedback session.

I can say that I have become a more confident person after this ProGrad program. I used to be a less expressive person. I used to hesitate to ask doubts. But after this program, I have become more expressive, I have started to explore more.

I was always interested to code in C and Python and used Python more. I felt Java was a bit stressful. Though I know the concepts of Java, I have still used Python to code in all situations, even in my college projects. But now I am super confident in Java, I code in Java and I can say I can perfectly code in Java.

I joined the ProGrad program with expectations to learn new technologies. I should admit that at the beginning I felt tough to cope up with the schedule as I was also doing my 8th semester at college. But the lockdown due to Covid-19 turned out a blessing as I could focus more on coding every day.

I am an Electronics engineer. I got placed from college as a quality analyst( Testing job). But i dint like the work, so I left the job and i was searching for some good job. That’s when i got a mail regarding the MERN stack program. I applied for this, after clearing test and interview, i got into this program.

During Prograd program:

During first three weeks, my mentor used to give task every day. As you guys know i’m an electronics engineer it was very difficult for me to complete the task and most of the times i used to not complete the task. And also we need to complete one project for one week. This program is fully based on self learning and people will guide only you how to learn. They guide you for not only technical, there are so many classes to improve your soft skills, tech talks, and industry visit. I came to know about this course through my seniors. I am interested in becoming a Full Stack Developer and wanted to take up a course. I should admit this course is so good, way more than my expectations. The content of the course is well structured. I like the real time learning that we get in the course through code along and lab sessions. I am in the final year of college, so at times I find it a little tough to balance both, but the mentors have been very helpful and supportive. I enjoy learning this course.

I attended the Prograd Full Stack Developer program from Jan - Apr 2021. The training program was very beneficial for me. The sessions happened in a fun and interactive way. I learnt so much through this program. The trainers mentored us throughout the program and helped us learn the technologies easily. Hello, I am Shaik Mahammad Musayyeb and the answer to this question is Yes, this program is worth giving a shot. My dream has always been to become a developer. In college, I was just like a normal student who knew the basics of programming languages like Java and as I'm from an M.Sc background, there were no placement opportunities in my college.

In my 4th semester of M.Sc, I was browsing through FACE Prep official website and saw ProGrad Full Stack Developer Program. The thing that attracted me to join this program was 100% job assistance. The other added advantage was that I was not required to travel or relocate since it was an online program. When I discussed with my parents, they were very supportive.

Before joining this program I knew that I'm very poor with my communication skills. But during my admission test of the ProGrad Full Stack Developer program, Vishakha Alok, who took my interview, motivated me to upgrade my skills.

After that, I met Mr.Kannan (my mentor) who helped me to build my technical skills and communication skills. One day I told Mr.Kannan that "May I ask a doubt in Hindi" and his reply was "I don't know Hindi", this made me learn and communicate in English.

My other mentor Prashanth sir, is a very friendly and motivating person, who explains and clarifies my doubts in a very easy manner. After clearing my coding round of Delium Technologies, he motivated me by giving heads up "You will become a role model for all if you get this job".

Veeranaveen sir who helped me at nights mostly. Most of the time at night Veeranaveen sir helped me in solving errors when I was really stuck.

About Anton sir. After completing the first week I texted Anton sir stating that "I want to withdraw from this program". He motivated me to continue and also helped a lot to crack the interview.

Himani ma'am managed all the co-curricular activities like Tech Talks, ProShows, industry mentorship and placements in a very polite manner. Tech talks helped me to gain knowledge in the latest tech and trends and ProShows kept our spirits high and motivated me to compete with others.

She also helped me in communicating with companies like How to respond to emails, How to convey them if we made any mistakes. This helped me a lot in improving my business communication skills.

And finally Venkatesh sir. words would be less to describe him. My journey in this program without Venkatesh sir would have been very difficult. There was no single day when he didn’t resolve our queries. He used to explain all the concepts very well and spent hours to help me with solving my problems.

"Do they really help upskilling"

This is exactly the same question I searched on Quora when I was thinking of joining FACE Prep ProGrad Full Stack Developer program.

I've pursued my BE in Mechanical discipline in the year 2018. After completing my BE, I started my job in a core company and worked there for 1 and a half years. During this period, I thought of rebooting my career with an opportunity to learn forever. At that time, I came to know about FACE Prep ProGrad Full Stack Developer programfrom their ad on their youTube channel.

There are multiple confusions whether I have to join there or not. But later, in short, I took a risk (or should I say a leap of faith) and jumped into it.

The first week of the program is hectic for others, but for me, it is a different story. It's brutal, especially for a guy from Mechanical background. While I was still figuring out how to write a function, others are already into "arrow function", which is an ES6 standard. That's where I started.

Our mentor believes teaching is not learning.

He taught us how to learn rather than what to learn, which I would add as FACE Prep's pro. We worked on some real-time applications and with a deadline. Almost every week, we created one new application, starting from "making an application" to deploying it.

During this period, I learned React, NodeJS, ExpressJs, MongoDB, deployment in Heroku, Firebase, and netlify.

After also those struggles of sculpturing myself, I got a placement in GoSharp Technologies with a decent salary.

If you are a person who is willing to push yourself hard to upskill, then it is indeed the right place for you.

I liked the structure of the program the most. The content of the program was so good, and the sequence of the curriculum was smooth and helped me learn better. Though we could take this course on any other platform, this is the best program that I found out to be well-structured that made the understanding very easy. The practical lab sessions were thoroughly guided.

I should admit it was tough to cope up with the learning schedule of 10 hours every day but the support of the mentors aided us so well and I could complete the tasks on time. The schedule was hectic sometimes, but the project designing was relaxing and fun. I built games. Self-learning helped me to improve a lot.

Bhuvana was a very supportive mentor. She would schedule the sessions in the morning and give us clear inputs. She would also go one step ahead and guide us on where we could get stuck on that day. Her instructions would be clear and complete.

I used to believe that to build software you need to put in so much effort and that's very difficult. Like I used to think we need a postdoctoral degree to build such things. But now I can say after this course I understood that learning while doing can help us succeed. If you had asked me earlier how much time would I take to build something through learning then I would have told you two months. But now I can confidently say I can do it in a week. My learning speed has also increased and I have become way better.

Apart from the curriculum, I have also improved my soft skills. I have learned to do better presentations. Mentors guided us in the right direction. I was a hard worker, but the Mentors put us in the right direction. Kannan, one of my mentors, always tells me your day does not start tomorrow, it starts today. He gave feedback every day, where we did good, what we did not get right, and how we could correct that. He encouraged us, gave us bonus questions, so we could work to get the bonus score. He was a good motivator. That's a pro thing about this program.

I would definitely recommend this program to others, this is a great program.

I expected Placement Season to be stressful, however with the support that I received from the mentors, it felt like a cakewalk. We received complete company-specific training. We were also trained on all the necessary skills to get placed - communication skills, soft skills, and technical. This training program continued for 90 days in the Bangalore FACE office. During the span of 90 days, we were exposed to the expectations of the industry. We attended some tech conferences, meetups and also got the opportunity to interact with industry experts.

The major learning outcomes were not just in terms of learning new stacks and technologies but also representing and showcasing our skills. Our soft skills and tech skills were analysed on weekly basis and that was really helpful. I have become more confident and also self-dependent to learn new things.

I have joined this course after reading the Quora reviews and thought it might be a good course then later when I joined the course after 1 week came to know that it is a scam. All these Quora reviews are written by Prograd team only and they ask students to post it forcefully.

Teaching:

• Only syllabus structure is good but they neither teach anything nor they conduct technical sessions
• All the assignments and projects were good but they won’t help properly if we get struck
• They told they will conduct code review session weekly but honestly speaking not even one session is conducted

Placements :

1. In the first place, placement drive happens rarely
2. 70% of them provide only internship
3. 80% of the companies that visit are start ups
4. They will take almost 1/4th of your first years entire salary if you get placed through them

First of all, I genuinely feel this Full Stack Developer course is the best, I couldn’t find any other course similar to this one. I enrolled in many other courses in the past like from Eduonix, Upskill, Udemy, Grey Atom, Coursera. But I couldn’t find a better course with a really good curriculum, platform and experienced mentors who support and care, not just with technical skills but with professional skills too.

In terms of skills, before joining the course, I felt there was no scope for me in the software field as I came from an Electronics engineering background. I had no knowledge on programming languages and no idea about the software field. But now, after 12 weeks into the program, I would rate myself a 9 on a 10. I am Sakshi Agarwal, B.Tech 2021 pass out from Techno Main, Salt Lake, Kolkata. I joined Prograd through a train and hire program which was in collaboration with ThoughtWorks. It was a 10-week program that focused on problem-solving, object modeling, test-driven development, Java, and more. For me, Prograd's training was an entirely new experience. In general, training for everyone would consist of lectures with some ppts slides, some predetermined themes, and a conclusion. It was, however, an entirely different story here. We used to have discussions, and it was through those discussions that we discovered new information. It wasn't restricted to a specific curriculum.

Prior to this program, I used to avoid Java and chose to use other languages instead. But now I'm fairly certain of it. The instructors were extremely helpful and kind to all of us. When we were stuck with a problem, they were quite approachable. We also held feedback sessions that were both one-way and two-way. They used to give us feedback on our strengths and weaknesses, as well as suggestions for how we could improve. Apart from offering input, they used to ask for comments on the training as well, to ensure we didn't have any issues or to see if there was anything they could better.

Those feedbacks have undoubtedly increased my confidence in myself and my technical skills, and I owe my Mentor a great debt of gratitude for this confidence and upskilling.

I graduated last year in B.Tech in CSE/IT from Kolhapur. In our campus we didn’t have good placement opportunities and I was looking to start my career with a good package in a product based company.

I was a part of FACE Prep’s telegram group and there I got to know that FACE Prep is coming up with ProGrad Full Stack Developer program (MERN). Initially I was confused if I should join this program or not but after due deliberation I decided to go for it.

The best thing about this program was that it didn’t believe in the concept of spoon feeding. From day 1 Raj Karthik Sir taught us the approach towards self-learning. So it as like we were picking up new technologies as well while getting trained on MERN because we were always motivated to broaden our horizons. With technical training we were also trained on soft skills. I was from a non-CSE background, hence found it a little difficult to cope with the course schedule initially. I chose to take up the Java Full Stack Program as I wanted to change my career. Initially I was a bit afraid if I will be able to cope up with the schedule and move forward. But the schedule of the program was well-structured and perfect to be carried out.

I did have less hope when I applied for this program. But to my surprise I could easily crack the first round of written test. The second round was a bit difficult but I made it through. The code pairing round was more of an interaction. I liked the code pairing round much because I could voice my opinions. I cleared the technical interview and the leadership round as well and finally got selected to this program.

The training program was designed in such a way that we learnt concepts and at the same time we implemented what we learnt by working on projects. This was the best part of the program.

Though it felt hectic, we could easily adapt and it became easy. We also developed games as part of our project work.

The mentors always provided us with feedback so we could improve. They were very understanding and listened to our problems. They were focused on our learning curve rather than just finishing the course.

I came to know about this training program through my college. It was a long procedure, multiple rounds of technical interviews, and finally I made it to the training program by Prograd. The interview rounds were also quite different, unlike the interviews that we usually attend, this was more of an interaction sort.

This training was way too different from what we had experienced in college. At college, it was more of a systematic approach, and we hardly had time to explore. But this bootcamp provided us with a wide scope of knowledge in a short span of time. We learnt a lot and the entire team helped us grow.

The online classes were more of an interaction, we could ask more questions. We had assignments to work on, and while completing each assignment we used to feel so proud of ourselves that we have learnt a lot. The 100 points that we get on the prograd learning platform used to excite us.

The channels in Slack were of great help. The mentors not only cleared our doubts, but also aided us to learn more. They were available 24/7 for us, I used to code at night and ping them for doubts and they would still clear them. They were always reachable.

I am from Electronics and Communication Engineering. We had to learn Python for one of our lab sessions through which I developed an interest in coding. I also started learning C and was fascinated to get into the IT industry. I came to know about the ThoughtWorks Train and Hire program by ProGrad through my college. I wanted to give it a try but wasn't very confident of cracking this initially. But as the interview rounds progressed, I made sure I prepared well and gave my best. The interview process was completely different yet I got selected and was so excited to join this program. The ProGrad mentors were very helpful. We also had exams at college during this training program but the team from ProGrad helped us to cope up with both the college academic schedule and the ThoughtWorks training schedule. ProGrad team was always approachable for any of our concerns. Also the training curriculum was designed in such a way that every alternate week we had to work on a project. This practical learning helped us to enhance our knowledge. I was totally new to learning Java but I was surprised at myself that I quickly picked up the skills in two weeks. Now I like Java more than any other coding languages. I was happy when I could use HTML, CSS and JS and create web pages. The last few weeks of the training was my most favorite part where we paired with our fellow batch mates and code. I have learnt how I could approach a problem statement. Because of PRograd I am very confident today that I can code in Java. I have also leant and explored many new things through them. I have learnt how to self-learn. Earlier I used to be hesitant to share my views or answers, doubting if I would be right. But now I have learnt to voice my opinions and answers without any fear. The support system at ProGrad was so effective. I have never experienced this at my college. Any time we had doubts we could get them cleared instantly. They were available 24/7 and the reviews that they shared were genuine. They have always been kind enough and cleared even the silliest of our doubts without any hesitance. I have begun my internship and ThoughtWorks and looking forward to building an awesome career. We have started learning many new things and I really like their employee culture. I attended a webinar conducted by ProGrad through which I came to know about the Java Full Stack program. I wanted to land up in a good career and was looking forward to taking up a program that could help me get good opportunities. I went through this course content and really liked it, and it also came with placements so I enrolled in this program.

The content of the program was well structured. Initially, I had no knowledge in development. I could not figure out what was front end and what was back end. But after this course I can now develop solutions for real world problems.

Through this program I got to work on many projects which enhanced my learning. The mentors were also very supportive. I also received the right coaching for attending placements. I was not very strong in aptitude, but the ProGrad team trained me in aptitude as well and honed my interview skills. I am glad that I am placed in Tech Mahindra as a full stack developer.

I was a part of the Train and hire program of ThoughtWorks that was conducted by ProGrad. The training was smooth and very supportive, trainers not only helped us improve our way of thinking while solving a problem, they improved our overall confidence in many areas. They supported us when we had to attend semester exams and gave a lot of value to our time and effort. Being a part of this training I was able to master the key principles a developer needs. There were regular feedback sessions which helped us focus on our strengths and weakness. During these 3 months, the mentors were always available for us to interact and work together. I came to know about the ProGrad programs through one of my friends. I had keen interest in Full Stack Development and that motivated me more to join this program. I read a lot of good reviews about this course on Google, hence I decided to join this course. Nowadays, everyone is learning programming and getting placed in service based companies. Given the current situation, I felt that a job in the service sector is less secure. So I was researching online on what could be a better job opportunity. I could find many people talking about full stack development. And around that time I also happened to attend this webinar, and finally I joined this course.

The ProGrad journey has been going well so far. There are a lot of new things that I have learnt out of this course. The program has been structured very well, wherein we learn the concepts one week and apply it in the other. The mentors have also been very helpful and supportive.

I work currently in IT support and I aspire to become a developer. I came to know about this program through my friend. I was already familiar with FACE and I know they are good at training, hence enrolled in this ProGrad program. The course has been going good so far. The material is excellent. 3. How Do I know All these ?

My Bad ! Let me Tell a bit about myself and my Experience with ProGrad:

I have completed a Masters Degree in Software Systems at an Arts College, Tamil Nadu, India. After some Lot of struggles, I got inside a company for a technical role but I was not happy about it. Lets just say, Myself and My Senior Developer were never on a same boat(We had our differences). I was feeling very bad about myself because I was not able to make a positive working environment. Following the Kind Advice of that Company's CEO, I came out to study a technical course. I was not sure on what to do next. I oscillated and applied for technical and non technical opportunities. I was able to get some non technical opportunities but couldn't pursue it because of Covid 19 situation.
