In my childhood dreams I had Disney world as the most amazing magical place a child can daydream of. TV shows and some classmates have had their vivid experience of recent and also some not so close to their present time then to access their memories. I visited the first time as a young teenager and not only I was in a state of extasis I was very confused but something kept popping up that wasn’t right in my head back then and remain the same now. The so magical place is over priced and over crowded. No mater the season, any day of the year the long lines of waiting extended from 45 minutes to a couple of hours in the most popular rides. Yes it’s optional and ridiculous at the same time, that is totally worth it… well millions of yearly visitors would say yes and go back time after time like my family and me. It’s really hard to explain how in our culture we are willing to expend hundreds of dollars per person in a weekend but yet we hesitate to extend our hand to give homeless in the streets $5 or $10 for a meal even more bring them a meal. It’s not surprising why people get addicted to go back trying to get the emotional high to make us forget how isolated and selfish we are as a culture. Yes we have fun with our children there. Yes it’s a very beautiful and somewhat inocent hobby/experience. Boy but the price to pay for it it’s not just the money but also our values as human”kind”.
