Hmm, I dunno if they always diminish the ability to see things objectively… Take a look at how I use my own ego in my answers about Spiritual Fucking Enlightenment; I actually invoke and inflate mine (at great personal expense from this perspective, mind you) to draw in strong Seeker egos that seek a greater understanding (moth, meet Flame). I then highlight belief and Axiom obstructions within those Seekers they may not otherwise know about (and would otherwise be hyper-defensive over to the point of being completely unable to accept, see, or acknowledge that aspect of themselves) by displaying them myself in general public view instead of “pointing at” the Seeker and making their ego feel attacked.
It probably backfires about as often as it works, validating their ego instead of helping them diminish it so it gets enough out of their way that they can finally see Truth. But Egomancy is a nascent field. Few people are able to detach from personal identification with it and actually still wield their ego productively while sustaining the Infinite/Absolute/Enlightened/Non-Dual perspective.
That's like surviving climbing into the Sun by regenerating your skin as rapidly as it burns off.
Basic enlightenment is common, and almost entirely destructive to an individual.
But the welding-together of the Absolute and the subjective? Of Enlightenment and ego?
Why… that's the stuff of the Messiahs.
That's the REAL magic.
Lead into gold.
See... one of the most interesting things about Light... is that it shines no matter how much darkness it's wrapped in. In fact, the MORE darkness it's surrounded by, the brighter and more dazzling even a single candle is.
A teddy bear, an emergency flashlight, a GPS, an energy drink, and new glasses with the recipient's current prescription…
all in one package covered in pipe bombs…
…that are actually glitter “bombs.”
That's…
