Not me personally, but a neighbor and pal of mine.

We lived on a semi-rural road that was like one big playground for all the kids whose families resided there. Then one family moved away, losing me one of my good buddies.

Worse yet, their house was bought by a teacher in the local school system. A very unpopular teacher. Who didn’t much like his students, or kids in general.

He was very proud of his lush lawn, and would yell at us for riding our bikes too close to the edge of the road, which might cause gravel to scatter onto his grass. Or we might lose control and tear up his lawn with our bike tires. Or whatever.

Anyhow, one of my friends had a clever and devious mind. He “borrowed” a can of gasoline intended for his father’s lawn mower. And in the dead of night, he poured the gas on the teacher’s lawn, spelling out S H I T.

Gasoline poured on grass causes the grass to die and turn brown and shrivel up. It also contaminates the soil.

The teacher was absolutely furious. But this was back in the days before security cameras, so he had no clue which of the local lads had pulled this off. And none of us was ever caught for this. Or for repeatedly blowing up his mailbox with firecrackers, either.

Edit: Wow, triple figures in upvotes in less than 24 hours! I guess folks like youthful vandalism.
