This didn't happen to me, at least not the first story.
I was about 10 years old and my baby brother was about 8 years old. We had been picked up by a friend of the family from school.
Her name is Wally, She had taken us out to dinner to her favorite Mexican restaurant in northern,California. After we ate,my brother Chad insisted that she give him the money to go pay for the meals. He had went inside where the bar was (yes I know that he was too young to be in a bar) but that was the only place to pay. He remained short until he got into hi teens. He was only 4ft × 3in . The prefect height to see anything that was on the floor. Because there wasn't anyone at the bar except for the bartender. He had been looking around and he had found a brand new $100. dollar bill underneath the bar where the stools are. Being the mostly honest kid he was. He showed it to the bartender. The guy said “ It looks like it's a good day for you kiddo!” Chad asked if anyone has lost it. The bartender said “ Like I said it looks like it's a good day for you. But don't spend it all at once. Invest some of it.
When he got back to our table. He could hardly contain himself. While waving the dollar bill in front of us. Saying look what I found! Wally repeated what the bartender said. He did invest at least $50.00 of it into a savings account with our fathers name,as being the co- owner to the savings account. Because he knew that our mother would withdrawal some of it,before it matured.
The rest he had bought many pieces of chocolate and toys.
The second story is about what I had found in a public restroom on the floor of one of the stalls. It was 1.5 carrot diamond ring. It was a canary diamond ring, which are yellow diamonds. I had turned it intothe lost and found at the shopping center I was at. I was told to fill out a form. In case the owner of the ring doesn't claim it and it would be mine or that the owner wanted to say thank you.
After 30 days no one had claimed it. I know what you are going to say is why in the H-e double hockey sticks would never claim such a expensive ring like that. I figured that they probably were from outof the country or figured that no one would had turned it in. Instead keeping it themselfs. I had been at least 13,years old when I found it. I had taken it to a well to know jeweler. To find it out if it was real or a yellow topaz.
It was the real thing, it was worth about $5,000 dollars. The jeweler wanted to buy it from me because it was a bermese diamond. A very old diamond at that like about 100 years old. I declined and hung on to it until I had to have $10,000 dollars for a down payment on a house I was interested in. I had put $5000 down on the house and bought a fairly new car with the rest. At least the house is a good investment. Not so,much, as the used car. But I did need the car.
