Notion is a really good application, but it has a pretty big learning curve. It also depends on what you want as a student and how you like to visualize your tasks.
I think that I like Notion for the following reasons:
- Dashboard Style
- I use Notion as a life dashboard. It took me about a week to set up everything that I wanted on Notion and have it functioning as an active, live dashboard. If you don’t have the time or want to try out a Notion dashboard, check out a Fiverr gig to help you out!
- Notion is what I have up on my second monitor all-day, every day. It’s what I check in the morning and its what I record my habits, goals, and other types of trackers on.
- Data Geek
- I’m a complete data geek. I like recording data, watching it move around with different visual approaches, and building different sets of data for different parts of my life.
- Insane Customization (compared to note-taking apps)
- Notion has tons of different options for UI and visualizations which allow you to manage your tasks and view different parts of your life dashboard in different ways.
- For people that like mini coding projects and increasing customization with Python scripts, that’s also possible and you can use APIs directly with the application as well.
