As the person being interviewed it was when I applied at an upscale men’s dress-wear shop and I was asked to demonstrate if I knew how to measure a man’s inseam. As I knelt down my lunch (Mexican food) decided to quite loudly haunt the room both audibly and olfactorably. I apologized and went about going to measure his inseam and well, let’s just say certain objects of the male persuasion were in my way and I politely asked him to “cup himself” so I could get a proper measurement if he didn’t want me touching them. I did end up getting the job though.

As for being the person giving an interview I had an applicant who when they came in was clearly pregnant and while she would have been a great fit for the company we needed someone to start immediately and her water broke during the interview. She begged for the job despite being in labor, we offered health insurance from day one and her husband had just been laid off. I honestly felt bad for her as we had to call an ambulance for her. I did hire her about six months later, she eventually took over my position and is now the regional manager.
