I have had this experience with a stranger where I literally learned the truth of the saying “What you do, comes back to you”.

I was travelling from my home town to where I work by bus. It was a four hour journey and a middle aged man was sitting next to me. Halfway through our journey I noticed that the man was often glancing at my phone, so I asked him whether he needed any help. As it turns out, he wanted to use my phone to call somebody and he was very hesitant to ask. I gave him my phone to use and after that he warmed up a little and started chatting. He wanted to call his daughter whom he was visiting and he was carrying some heavy luggage.
When the bus reached his stop he said goodbye and got off. Since there was some time before the bus leaves, I thought of having some tea and got off the bus.

When I came back, the bus was nowhere to be seen! Apparently they had decided to start a little early and I had my bags with all my documents on the bus.
I was standing there with absolutely no idea what to do, when the man who sat next to me stepped out of an Auto rickshaw packed with his luggage and came to me. He told me that the bus had only just left and if we hurry we could catch it. So I got on the Auto with him and he instructed the driver to chase after the bus. Horn blaring, we caught up with the bus after a 10 minute movie like chase and needless to say, I was happily reunited with my backpack.
I couldn’t thank that man enough. He wouldn’t even allow me to pay for the taxi.
To think that all of this happened because of a phone call!

It was one of those occasions when we realize that there are only good people in the world.
