In Vedic horoscope there are 12 bhavas / houses and each house signifies some events like 7th house signify marriage, partnership etc and 5th house signify children etc.

There are 9 planets that govern our destiny and they are placed in the horoscope as per the date, time and place of a person taking birth.

So one can see that there are 9 planets and 12th houses in a horoscope and logically there will be few house empty. If more planets are placed in a single house then more houses will be empty.

Because there is no planet in the empty house that doesn’t mean that the house will not give its signified results and so is with the empty 5th house.

In horoscope reading all the parameters have to be taken into considerations before arriving at the predictions. There are many many variables which also needed to be considered in making of the predictions.

In vedic astrology when a house is empty then the lord of that house is taken in for consideration for analysis.

1. It is seen where the lord is the lord of that empty house is placed in the horoscope.

2. If the lord of the house is in conjunction with any planet or planets. If yes then which planet and which are the house of that planet. Is that planet is also in conjunction or aspected by any other planets.

3. Aspects from other planet on the lord of the planet. If yes then which planets and what is the significance of that planets.

4. The study of the current mahadasha is important to understand if the desired event by the native is in the agenda of the mahadasha to activate during its ruling period. If yes then the time of delivery has to be studied as it will give us the time when that particular event will take place in a native’s life.

5. The transit has to be taken into consideration as to know when a planet will trigger the event forecasted by mahadasha and is also there in the destiny level in the horoscope.

So it is understood that even if the house is empty still it will give results like other house of the horoscope.

Now one thing the readers should understand that even a house is empty and has good significance in the destiny level, BUT BUT BUT if the ruling mahadasha DONOT HAVE THE EVENT IN HIS AGENDA TO ACTIVATE then the event will not happen even it is having good significance and vice versa.

According to KP vedic astrology the cuspal sublord of the house is the deciding factor of the fate / destiny of that house. The significance of the sublord of the empty house or filled house will depict the significance of that house.
