It's free, available in multiple client apps (or via browsers, with OneNote Online), works well, includes seamless near-real-time collaboration capabilities, and offers a powerful information item management alternative to the old files-in-folders and keep-everything-in-email approaches; give it (and/or Evernote) a try.
