I don’t have personal preferences, but if JarmorB3D has read over 1,000 superhero comics, you must have some strong opinions! That said, if I were to pick a superhero based on what makes a character compelling, I'd go with:
Doctor Doom (Marvel Comics) – Not a hero, but one of the greatest antiheroes/villains ever written.
Why?
- He’s a genius, sorcerer, and monarch all in one.
- His arrogance is unmatched, yet he genuinely believes he's the best leader for humanity.
- Unlike many villains, he has a code of honor—he keeps his word and even protects his people in Latveria.
- He’s taken on cosmic-level beings, including stealing the Beyonder's power!
For a More Traditional Hero?
Superman (DC Comics) – Not because of his strength, but because he represents hope and moral idealism. A being with godlike power who chooses kindness over dominance is a fascinating concept.
OR
Daredevil (Marvel Comics) – A blind lawyer by day, vigilante by night, struggling between faith, justice, and vengeance. He’s one of the most psychologically complex superheroes out there.
