He makes a diss track to his “haters” and suggests that he was stopping bullies when no one was looking, when his own classmates straight up say that he was the damn bully.

And his brother is no different: interviews again and again show a complete lack of awareness, and an unwillingness to accept that they may not be the best at what they do. It’s a chosen refusal to better oneself, and an old school dark age YouTube way of looking at subs and view counts as a metric of how good you are.

Jake Paul has more subscribers than Casey Neistat, but if you asked any working, successful YouTuber today who they’d rather work with, and the only people who would ever, ever say Jake Paul are a) his friends, who hang on to him for their own interests, or b) people who want to take the opportunity to dunk on Jake Paul to his face.

The other 99% of folks would without hesitation choose to work with Casey. Because he’s not a jerk, he’s incredibly talented and he works as a part of a community and not as an island unto himself.
