My wife.
I was 37, divorced, father of two that it sure seemed I was the primary care giver. Immediately after the divorce, I had gone on every internet dating site, trying to find someone. No luck.
About two years later, I'm in nursing school, working as a CNA, still seems I'm the primary care-giver, and just busier than a one armed paper hanger. Out of the blue, I get a message on one of my old internet dating sites (I couldn't even remember my password), from a woman who lived about 3 hrs away. The message was nice; she was obviously attractive, intelligent and funny, and I was familiar with the city she lived in. My response? “You seem really nice, but I am SO busy, there is just no way I have time for a relationship right now.”
Yeah, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Anyway. We ended up exchanging emails for about 2 weeks when we decided talking on the phone might not be a bad idea. We talked on the phone for about two weeks when we decided maybe I'd make a drive on the next weekend. After that weekend, we didn't miss a weekend together.
We were married not quite a year later, and that happened 14 years ago this coming May.
