Start learning. We live in a time of major workforce disruption, caused by technological advances that have enabled remote working, a rise in contract work, automation, artificial intelligence, and the globalization of the workforce. Some positives, some negatives, but the bottom line is that at the age of 35, you can expect to retrain and redirect your career at least 2–3 times. Start now.

There are lots of online learning resources, many of them free. Set learning goals, make a plan, and get busy. Your better self is waiting for you.

(BTW, I started learning how to be a software developer when I was 55.)
