Three out of four top business schools integrate generative AI into their teaching because it's become essential knowledge for understanding today’s tech-driven business landscape. However, only one in five schools offers dedicated courses solely focused on generative AI. This split often happens because business programs tend to cover generative AI as part of broader topics, like digital transformation or business strategy, rather than treating it as a standalone subject. Schools might include generative AI as just one aspect of a larger curriculum instead of providing a deep dive, especially since it requires expertise and dedicated resources.
Yet, demand is rising for more focused studies—especially Generative AI Certification programs—as more professionals seek in-depth knowledge to drive demand generation, innovation, and efficiency in their industries. Business schools may begin adding more dedicated generative AI courses and certifications as interest and industry demand grow.
