For me the most disgusting movie… Well I have a few. Necromantik comes to mind. A man works as an accident site cleaner / Coroner’s assistant and he occasionally steals body parts for his girlfriend, who is into Necrophilia, to play with. He steals an entire waterlogged corpse at one point and they proceed to have sex with this bloated thing. She is kissing all over the corpse and even manages to copulate with it by use of a corner of the bed frame. At one point, between bouts of sex, they hang this body on the wall and copious amounts of dark fluids run from it onto the floor. It had JUST been in the bed with them! This is a rather uncomfortable movie but I had an idea of what I was getting myself into.

I had NO idea what I was about to see/experience when I made the mistake of watching “A Serbian Film” (Uncut version). This film was WAY over the top and features about every vile perversion you can think of. There is one scene (I will not describe) that haunted me for weeks but on the whole, the movies gave me the willies for quite a while. It involves a former porn actor getting talked into “one more film” for a mysterious man for a fee the actor could not pass up. He also gets encouragement from a friend/former scene partner to do the film as she works for the studio / director also. Then things go SOUTH. I should have known that this was not going to be okay from the start when the actor’s son, about 7 or 8 years old, is watching one of his father’s films and none of the adults bats an eye. (Is an 8 year old viewing explicit XXX films an okay thing in Serbia?) I cannot say how very disturbing and “Icky” this movie made me feel. It is the closest thing to an actual Snuff film I ever want to see. I have two other “extreme” movie buddies and we challenge one another to watch a film. They were disturbed by “Human Centipede” . One of my friends flat refuses to view “Serbian” stating that he has read enough to know it WILL give him nightmares and probably “Fuck me up for LIFE”. Trust me. Don’t be curious. STAY AWAY from this one. (Side note: I have heard that the prop for one of the most disturbing scenes is being auctioned off to help provide funds for the film company. If you’ve seen the film, you can guess which prosthetic I’m speaking of. The scene that had everyone talking).

I also had the unfortunate “luck” to watch a movie by “Guinea Pig” studios (not the makers of the infamous Japanese movies) at a film festival /Horror convention in Texas last year. Title escapes me but it was pretty bad. We were told pre-showing that we were only the second audience to see the movie. First showing had been in France and a good many of the audience walked or RAN out of the theater. “OH WOW! What were we going to see??” This movie consisted of a delusional man in a bathroom mutilating himself. Actual sounding of his urethra. VIOLENTLY. ON SCREEN. (They hired a fetishist who was into this sexual activity as a “stunt cock” we were told in the Q&A after the screening). The man cut himself, abused his naked junk, and did various other abusive things to his body and … Thing. Many ran from the showing but most of the audience (me included) stayed. I’m not proud of that fact but it was like a gauntlet had been thrown down and you could feel the “I can make it through this” vibe all around. Again, not for the faint of heart (or really anyone for that matter!) If anyone has seen this mess, please put up the title.
