I remember I travelled to Essex for a teaching job interview with two interviewers as a panel member . It was quite a challenging job interview however I managed to do well. The lady there from the very beginning started to show signs of prejudice of some kind and it was obvious that she wouldn’t want to give the job to me.The man there showed interest and even said to me ‘will see you soon’ at the end of the interview! I left and I expected to hear ‘congratulations on passing the interview ‘ however the way the lady sounded and her arrogance and lack of confidence and interest in me put me down until I received an email saying that I had been unsuccessful !

I emailed the college to get feedback on what areas I had not done well , and it took me a month to hear back from the panel . In the end I received the feedback and guess what , there was no negative things about me in the feedback and they had praised me on the subject knowledge and that I sounded confident and passionate . Still not sure why I failed that interview and the feedback did not convince me as why I had been failed. MY German friend who had been a HR manager for years told me to forgive and forget as they must have recruited internally and they need to keep the employment show going for legal purposes .

Sorry for waffling about! The answer to your question my friend is YES you definitely can request feedback but I would not chase it and just work and prepare further for the upcoming interviews and never ever think there was necessarily something wrong with you or your abilities .
