The 60/30/10 colour ratio rule. That is, an interior space should consist of 60% of a primary colour, 30% secondary and 10% accent colours (highlights), or any ratio within that range. It’s easier to just show you the effect:

More like 50:40:10 = white + light beige: light green: wood brown. Design by De Space Interior Design, an interior designer in Johor Bahru.

Another 60:30:10. The colour ratio here is a little more unusual, with light wood brown making up the predominant colour. Love the blue accents/highlights.
