Children Growing Up in the Spiritual World
After a long illness, a ten-year-old girl named Monika entered the spiritual world. In the beginning, she had difficulties adjusting to the conditions in the new world and longed for her parents who had cared for her so affectionately. Eventually she found a new home in a foster family with five other children. Among the children there were two each who spoke English, French and German. Thus Monika learned these languages in the family and also attended spiritual schools where she studied the same subjects as did children on earth. For all children who die at an early age, the divine world wishes to promote their spiritual ascent.
Balthasar and His Dog
Balthasar’s incarnation goes back some 400 years. He was an eccentric and felt closely attached to nature. He loved animals and was particularly fond of his horses, which he bought and sold, and of his dog. Human beings, however, didn’t mean much to him. After Balthasar died, he lived together with his dog in a forest on earth. Through his experience there he gained a deeper and quite different insight into the varied spiritual life and goings on in the woods on earth.
Happy Reunion of Mother and Daughter
On her return from life on earth a good soul was first of all allowed to stay with her mother and to enjoy the magnificent spring in an elevated plane. A lovely reception was given in her honour which was also attended by an exalted prince of heaven. After this affectionate welcome, this being also experienced the review of her past and a period of purification. Just as everyone returning from life on earth, she had to undergo this period first before being given her wonderful duties in the spiritual world.
Preparations for a Life on Earth
The time required for preparing a life on earth can vary for all levels of development. The beings are instructed by heavenly messengers, and the dangers of human existence are pointed out to them. Together with his protégé, a divine angel studies the individual’s previous lives on earth, his merits and failures. The angel knows precisely what can be expected of a spirit in preparation for incarnation. In every instance a heavenly being takes care of such a soul, organizing and supervising everything. Through two examples we see how pledges made in the spiritual world were realized in the course of each life to the blessing of many human beings.
You Earn Your Exact Place in Heaven
A male spirit who had already reached an elevated level of development burdened himself quite seriously during life on earth. In the course of this particular life he failed the new tests he was faced with which were in line with modern living conditions. Whereas, in the divine world, there is no retrograding or return to lower planes of ascent, there are, however, nicer and less nice places within the same plane. Thus this being was led to a less beautiful place but within the same plane he had lived in before his unfortunate incarnation. Human beings are the crown of earthly creation.
