First tip)
Always ask for extra rice, for most people extra rice isn’t a problem. If you are watching your carb intake we’ll talk about other things later. The more rice the more full your bowl looks and if they put the regular amount (4 oz) of meat it just doesn’t look proper and they’ll definitely give you a little more meat while still getting extra rice.
Second tip)
If you don’t want meat on your bowl indicate it right at the start and make sure that whoever is making your bowl/burrito/etc knows. They’ll almost always give you extra beans/veggies. So with that go ahead and ask them to give you a scoop of each type of bean. By this point your bowl already feels really heavy.
Third tip)
This one might seem obvious. Always always always be nice and friendly to whoever is serving you. Building that quick minute bond really makes the servers give you more food. At least I do. If you don’t want to be nice, don’t be rude because they’ll for sure give you the bare minimum of what you ask for.
Additional tips)
- You could get a free tortilla on the side with your bowl
- You could get free guac with any veggie bowl/burrito
- There’s a salad dressing that’s really good but you have to ask for it since it’s in a secret place ;)
- If you ask for half of one meat and half of the other it almost always guarantees that whoever is serving will give you a bit more meat since it’s difficult to actually measure out half and half on the spot.
