Depending upon your target audience's location and your own location, mornings are the best time for uploading images for likes. Most of us surf Facebook while traveling to work or before breakfast, i.e around 7–8 AM.

This is the time when uploading pictures will get maximum engagement. The second best time is in the noon, around 1–2 PM. People are tired of the first half of the work they've done. They're heading for lunch, they need something to do while they walk. What do they do? Surf Facebook.

Again, it depends on who’s your target audience. Depending on your target audience you should be marketing on Facebook

.

Welcoming them with your images/videos will get them like it without hesitation(provided your content is of top quality). We're so unstable that we interact with anything that comes our way. It's both good and bad.

The third best time is around 8–9 PM, people are done with their hard day. They're done with dinner or maybe waiting for it. They're free and lifeless (sorry but it's true nowadays) what do they do? Surf Facebook. Again welcome them with your pictures for likes.

If you are an individual, make sure your images are good enough for them to stop and interact. If you are a business owner, make sure your content is fresh, catchy and informative. If its a video, you have 3 seconds to grab their attention. If you fail to catch, they scroll away.

That being said, Facebook's organic reach is dead. Only 2–3 percentage of your posts are seen by your followers. If you want a broader reach, pay for Facebook ads. It's thugism out there, but you gotta deal with this. If you're an individual, then your friends will eventually like it. Just follow the timings for better results.

I hope I've answered your question the way you expected it to be answered.

All the best for your future.
