I understand it is the name of a small town in Wales, UK.

The town of “Ees-vod-tred-forthy” is reputed to, in the dark ages, to have had a magical healer.

The myth goes that if a family member was to become ill, one would venture outdoors and send a summons to the sky “CQ CQ RFDS” which translates, roughly, from Welsh as ‘I seek you o Flynn’. Flynn being the anglicised version of the name Rfds, pronounced Earrfythis.

In answer to the summons a magical healer would appear soon after, on a winged horse.

The healer would attend to the sick or wounded and it was tradition for those who summoned the healer to thank and feed the horse ‘ oh mighty Cessna, chariot of the healer, thanks be for your haste, here be a pound of hay’.

Many Welsh migrated to Australia and brought with them the story of this great healer who would fly over long distances, alight from Cessna and tend to the sick.
