Hi! I'm the co-founder and CEO of Periscope Data.
To answer your question, as of March 2016 pricing starts at $1,000 per month and scales up with the amount of data you have plugged into Periscope. (To be clear, we've raised prices a few times over the months, but we don't go back and raise prices on existing customers.)
As Jon Bishop mentions, there are a few good sources out there for customer experiences with the product, including right here on Quora: Who has used Periscope? How would you rate this tool compared to Chartio?
To touch on some of the other answers, our process does include a demo and a trial before purchase. The product is fairly sophisticated, and we've found customers are much more successful with someone to help show them around the product. As the product gets more mature, we may be able to smoothly onboard folks in a more automated fashion.
Philosophically, we like to make sure folks get to try before they buy. We've experimented with relaxing this requirement, and we found that while customers who purchased without trial didn't churn more, they did use the product less, and we want to make sure folks are having a great experience with Periscope.
Hope this helps! Also happy to chat with anyone: harry@periscopedata.com
