THE DISILLUSIONMENT WITH SHAKESPEARE:
Some thought should be put into how Shakespeare re-orders our society, though most likely it shouldn’t. Someone might place a well-acted play above the U.S. president though I wouldn’t. Imagine if the President is placed above DARPA, and DARPA is placed above more basic experiments. If someone proves perpetual motion they have just placed Shakespeare three ranks above the laws of physics. This is clearly not acceptable.
