Here on Quora , may be Many Quorans belong to metro cities or like to work in metro cities.

But I will describe my situation as I belong to a small city of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

I am only son of my parents and my father is working in UP govt. Job , my mother is housewife.

I had joined 2nd largest IT company in 2014 at Bengaluru. After working 4 years , I realized my responsibilities towards my home and my future life. I don't want to describe here the situation of Application support 24*7 project.

If there I was earning around 40K per month after switching , it can reach upto 60K per month but is that money everything ?

In Bengaluru like cities, 13–15K is normal monthly expenses. If I travel to my hometown in a month , flight tickets would cost 10–12K.

Hence 40K salary becomes 15K.

If I want to stay with my parents then was it possible for me ? Probably not because my parents won't stay more than 2 weeks in any metro cities but I can live with them in a small town.

Being only son , I have to live with them till their old age as well. Only my earned money can not make them happy , they need me and I need them.

So I quit the Infosys in march 2019 and started preparing for govt jobs/banking and got selected in SBI Junior Associate in nov 2019.

And I am happy that Atleast I have hope to get posted in my hometown. This 25K-30K monthly salary is more than that of salary earned in IT companies for the persons belong to small town.

Edit2 : I am posted at 30 Kms away from my home , it takes travelling time 40 mins from my home.

Edit3 : I got transfer and working as Assistant in Regional office 3 Kms away from my home.
