Year 2008, while I was doing job away from home, one of my close relative suggested me to purchase some land near road point for close to 1 lakh. As I stayed in another city, he suggested that he will register the land at a time with his name and later will transfer. (He too bought some land adjacent to mine at same time) .

Actually Max part of the invested money was withdrawn from my stock investment when the market was very low. If I would have kept my shares as it is, it would give me much better returns by now.

I believed, because he was so close to me and had complete faith on him. He slowly delayed the process and the real estate in that area boomed like anything, in year 2015 the value was close to 20 lakhs. The current value will be much more than that.

He later return around Rs.50,000 (Half of what I paid) after almost 8 years.

I lost the land and he lost the relationship permanently along with trust.

So never ever trust to anyone, money is devil and can change anyone's mind at any time, especially with relatives. We loose relationship and money.

The amount may seems to be less for someone, but at that time, it was close to my 1 year savings.
