Ghosts never talk about going to heaven because that is the definition of a ghost - an unenlightened, Earthbound spirit. Ghosts are the spirits of materialistic people who have no thoughts of the afterlife. When they die, they are not expecting an afterlife, so they actually do not realize they are dead. In spirit, they look the same as they did when they were alive a human. Such spirits continue living their lives, and it may take very long before they realize they are dead.

I have one such ghost living in my house. She keeps saying: “You don't belong here, you have to leave before my family comes home.” She does not know that she died 20 years ago and her family moved out afterwards. Therefore, she is still waiting.

Ghosts are so unenlightened that they cannot see the surrounding angels. Only if the angels want to be seen will they make themselves visible to them.

There are other spirits that live among us who are not called ghosts because they are enlightened spirits who know about Heaven and Hell. There are two books available on the web that I can recommend for further reading. A Wanderer in Spirit Lands is a good reference for ghosts and lower spirits from the perspective of the spiritual world. And Dr. Carl Wickland’s book 30 Years Among the Dead is a great reference as to how ghosts can negatively interact with people.

Dr. Wickland spent 30 years working with ghosts and never gained any insight into Heaven, Hell or into reincarnation from his interactions. Dr. Edith Fiore continued this work through her career with similar success in freeing her patients from lost souls, ghosts and demons.
