Here's an idea.

Imagine that every time someone writes your handle or link to your Twitter account anywhere on the web—you get mentioned on Twitter.

Wouldn't that be cool? If your answer is "Yes", please do continue reading.

For example, I link your name to your Twitter account on my blog and your get a mention interaction like: "You were mentioned here [link]".

Or: "@R2k mentioned you here [link]".

Too me, that would be awesome—like some sort of backlink analytics tool. This way you could have all your data under fingertips instead of crawling Google/Twitter/whatever just to check if there are any links. At least, that's what I usually do.

And while we are at it there should also be a browser extension (or something) that would suggest me handles. For example when I write Jovana Tomić, it suggests me @Joe_prase as a link.

Those two would, I think, make and killer whole. Imagination for now, but in the future it could be an everyday thing.
