Most beautiful place to worship, IMO, has to be Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar (previously known as Burma).

I made a trip to visit this charming place during summer 2014, and I could not forget the tranquility and peacefulness that I felt when I stepped foot inside this magnificent place.

Shewdagon is believed to have been built more than 2500 years ago, and is one of the oldest and most sacred pagodas in the world. The stupa of the pagoda is made of bricks covered by genuine gold plates, and the crown on the top is tipped with more than 5,400 diamonds and 2,300 rubies. Everyone, before entering Shwedagon, is required to remove shoes and wear long pants as a way to show respect. Strangely enough, even though the pagoda lies at the heart of Yangon, the busiest center of the city, once you walked inside the place, you almost hear no noise. The feeling of calm and peace traverse and embrace me, and I swear I could just sit there for hours, either to meditate, to admire the beauty of the pagoda, or to think about nothing. I went there both during the day and at night on different days, and experienced the same feeling of peace.
