I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned St Peter's Basilica! It's perhaps not as special as some of the other places that one could mention, being, well, quite the tourist attraction. However, I don't think that anyone could argue against its beauty.

I must stress that none of the above photographs in any way truly capture the beauty, grandeur or even the vastness of St Peter's. You really have to go to Rome to appreciate it!
