I got into one of the top US law firms after college.

Before I knew it, I was getting a serious six-figure salary and working with Fortune 100 companies to close multibillion dollar merger and acquisition deals.

But inside, I felt awful. I was helping the world’s biggest corporations get bigger.

And I wasn’t making an impact.

We were all working 80+ hours a week. There was one partner who worked through his first kid’s birth.

And I wasn’t making an impact.

We were all working 80+ hours a week. There was one partner who worked through his first kid’s birth.

And later told people in the office he was proud of it.

One day, I had a breakdown. It was a combination of the stress and the feeling that I was going against some deep knowing within.

I was in the kitchen when it happened.

I slumped to the floor and started sobbing.

“What’s going on?!” my wife came over to me and put her hand on my head.

It took a long time until I was able to speak. “I can’t do this anymore,” I whispered.

It was a terrifying thing to say. Even though my pay was very good, we both still had student loans to pay off and she was still working on her master’s.

I assumed she’d tell me I’m being insane. That I should at least keep the job until we’re debt-free. That I’ll “get over it.”

Instead, she said, “I get it. Don’t worry about it. We’ll find a way.”

At that moment, something shifted for me. I realized I didn’t have to force myself through this anymore.

I had no idea how things would work out, I just knew they would.

So I tendered my resignation.

And joined a cryptocurrency startup for a third of my salary.

I remember people thinking I was crazy to do that.

But I can’t even describe how good it felt.

From there I ended up founding my own startup dedicated to freelancer financial inclusion.

I spent months working for free before the business took off, Airbnb’ing our apartment to make ends meet.

But that feeling of freedom—
Of doing something meaningful—
Of knowing you’re carving your own path—

Is priceless.

She then continues to stitch her own slippers.

These moments went very deep into me. I paid 100 Rs to the old man and asked him to keep the change. He refused stubbornly and after a long search in his workplace, gave me back my 50 Rs change. After thanking both of them, I turned back disappointed looking at his wife stitching her slippers.

And then, the old man says to his wife "Now this money is earned by you. This is your money. Go and have your lunch".

Love has no age. Love knows no currency. Love finds no boundaries. I envy this old couple! Made my day! :)

Why do we call him “Moti”?

Well because it's his father's name.

Well, he is our roasting material in the gang.

You are having a bad day? Take it out on him.

You wanna hit someone? You hit him.

You don't wanna hit anyone? Still you can hit him.

Still he won't say a word back to you. He has a heart of gold.

It's easier to roast, but its way difficult to get roasted in a regular basis and still hold your head high.

Well, on a serious note, he is OUR FAVOURITE.

Money can buy you everything, but it definitely can't buy you a MOTI.

PS- Make sure this answer doesn't reach him. Saale ka bhao badd jayega.

Edit- Many are commenting about how we are not treating our friend the way we should and that what we are doing is bullying.

We know the difference between bullying and roasting.

It's not that only he gets roasted. Everyone of us gets roasted too. It's just that his frequency of roasting is much higher than ours. Plus all the roasting are done in good humour. No low blows are given/taken.

Thank you for your concern though.

  3. Health: While money can buy medical care, it cannot guarantee good health or well-being. Factors like genetics, lifestyle choices, and emotional health play significant roles.
  4. Time: Money cannot buy more time or reverse the passage of time. Once moments are lost, they cannot be regained.
  5. Integrity and Respect: These qualities are earned through actions and character rather than financial means. People respect those who demonstrate honesty and ethical behavior.
  6. Wisdom and Knowledge: While education can be purchased, true wisdom comes from life experiences, reflection, and learning over time.
  7. Peace of Mind: Financial security can contribute to peace of mind, but it doesn't guarantee it. Stress, anxiety, and inner turmoil can exist regardless of wealth.
  8. Authenticity: Being true to oneself and living authentically cannot be bought; it requires self-awareness and courage.
  9. Creativity: While resources can facilitate creative endeavors, true creativity stems from inspiration, passion, and personal expression.
  10. Joy of Simple Things: Many of life's simple pleasures—like a sunset, a walk in nature, or time spent with loved ones—cannot be purchased.

These elements highlight the limitations of money and underscore the importance of non-material aspects of life.

I rushed to open the door only to spot their house helper crying and sobbing at the door.

She was with my uncle and aunt for 7 years and when they are leaving the house, she came just to say a last goodbye.

My aunt already kept a box packed with clothes for her family, sweets for her and a beautiful silver bracelet as a mark of gratitude.

But she took those boxes, kept it aside and hugged my aunt and started crying inconsolably. We tried our level hard to console her but all went in vain.

Lastly she drank a glass of water and said “Madam aap chali jaygi to ghar suuna ho jayga, golu pinki bhi kitna pyaar krte h aapko, madam aap bhot pyaar diy h hmlog ko” (Madam this home will be empty without you, Golu pinki (her children) loves you so much. You gave a lot of love to our family in these 7 years).

And again she broke into tears.

She even brought a tiffin filled with laddoos( indian sweet) which were the favourite of my cousin and fed her with her own hands.

Needless to say, no amount of gift or money was able to fill her emotional void and console her while my aunt was leaving.

What are something money can't buy?

Love. Affection. Relationships.

Had it been only a money matter between my aunt and her helper, she would never come to shed tears and say goodbye to her. But, she came and gave a massive amount of blessing to the family which weighs more than money.

.

.

Aren't we humans just living for love and respect!

Here's one thing that most people probably won't realize money can't buy: natively high water pressure.

I am pretty well off, and my family lives in a multi-million dollar home in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. I am pretty well off, and my family lives in a multi-million dollar home in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. For those not familiar with Bay Area housing prices, they are absurdly high: you can't buy a decent home for less than a million, and Pacific Heights is one of the "posh" neighborhoods in SF where homes go for a lot more than that. We live in one of those nice homes, and almost everything about our house is great.

Except the water pressure. It's absurdly low. We couldn't figure out why for a long time, until a plumber happened to mention that all the homes in this area have low water pressure. Puzzled for a moment, I then realized the obvious: because we're all on top of a hill.

In a city, wealthy districts tend to cluster in the geographically higher areas. Generally there are a lot of advantages to these areas (you get to look down on the plebes, potential energy for your gold-plated slinkies, etc), but one big disadvantage is that municipal water supply yield weaker pressure the higher up you go. And there's nothing you can do about it. The city can't be bribed into force-pumping more water up to you, and you can't dig a well in your backyard - it's not an estate in the countryside. You can buy an expensive booster pump for your home and that will increase the pressure, but not the overall flow rate. So you can get a thin, pounding stream - great.

Upon this realization, I cursed my wretched lot in life. Why did my family and I have to suffer so? And then another thought dawned on me - there were people worse off than we!

Who, you ask? Why, the billionaires! You see, up the street a few blocks (on yet a higher hill) is what's called "Billionaire's Row" (see: http://sf.curbed.com/tags/billionaires-row). It's where the real expensive houses are and it's even further upland. Those rich fuckers can buy a booster pump too, but they'll still suffer the same fate, only worse - the city only gives you a certain flow rate, and no matter how much money you have, there's nothing you can do to fight gravity: pressure gets worse the higher up you go. Enjoy your shower, Mark Pincus!

They love you before laying their eyes on you. That’s why it is said to be love is blind. They didn’t care whether you are tall/short, fat/skinny, intelligent/stupid etc. They taught you everything. They cheered you up when you were down.

They accepted you for what you are. That’s the purest form of love.

You can’t and shouldn’t honor that with money.

Once you lost them, no matter how rich you are, how much the money you have, you can’t get them back.

But for the life of me I have not in the past few years been able to find someone to cuddle with before I close my eyes every night.

It's really that simple.

I've actually been thinking about this more deeply recently and realize that this basic desire for companionship is something akin to a child seeking the comforting embrace of a stuffed animal. It's this pervasive psychological need for some type of "emotional security." As one gets older, one simply evolves this childhood need toward something more intimate.

Despite all the comfort, the luxuries, the money, I just want someone to hug, hold, and kiss in bed as I drift away to sleep.

It might seem crazy, but I'll trade away the house and the car for that in a heartbeat. In the beginning, these items are really cool. In fact, they're still really cool. But once you spend day after day, then month after month, and eventually a few years without a significant other to share life with, you'll be ready to trade it all away in an instant.

This is a primal need that no amount of money can satisfy, at least not a genuine form of it.

Have a look:

Now from the above snaps most of you might have recognized the person sitting carelessly above the towed ROLLS ROYCE!

For those who don’t know him, let me tell you that he is Post Malone aka Austin Richard Post an American Rapper and singer, a very well known and rich personality of America. This guy has a net worth of 14 Million$.

Now coming to the above snaps, the towed Rolls Royce on which he was sitting in is of his own. The only thing that happened is that he was going somewhere in California where his driver was driving the car and he was sitting in the passenger seat. Suddenly the car got T-Boned by a KIA and suffered a minor crash. I don’t know if that was the mistake on the rapper’s side or the KIA’s side but everyone involved in the crash was safe having minor injuries! But what bothered me is that even the police dept. seized the Rolls Royce, the rapper simply forgone the car and paid money to get himself out of the custody, and the very next day he bought the latest model of Rolls Royce Phantom.

I mean this is absolutely insane!

This is what money can buy for you and even more maybe!

But the question is somewhat different, right??

So I am gonna explain what is that money can’t buy….

Have a look at these snaps!

Now, the boy in this photo is of Ayazuddin, son of the former captain of Indian cricket team Mohammad Azharuddin.

On the eve of EID, his dad gave him this bike as a gift, but who knew that the gift will make his dad regret forever!

Yes, his dad gifted this Suzuki GSX R1000 bike with 1000cc worth 20lacs on the eve of Eid. The very next day Ayazuddin along with his cousin went for a drive in the roads of Hyderabad. He accelerated the bike at its max speed pushing it to its limits. Unfortunately, the bike skidded and both of them skewed away towards different directions. Due to the inertial tendency, they got severely injured and as a result, died at the moment!

It was such a disaster that the family would have faced on that precious day, losing two of their loved ones. My heartfelt condolences to both of them and may the departed souls rest in peace.

But did you notice one thing, unlike that Post Malone…….Azharuddin even being a rich man, couldn’t bring his son and nephew back!

So not everything can be compared to money!

I know that money is essential to sustain a healthier and luxurious lifestyle, but at least not at the cost of Life!

So always respect your loved one's decisions and think of the consequences that they might face after you’re done with your actions!

God bless all..

Peace Out!

NOW the good news. Money CAN buy you a house for you to make a home for yourself and those you love. It can buy satisfaction if you care to use a few dollars here and there to help those less fortunate. It can buy you an education! Anything you want to be you can be if you educate yourself and learn with joy. It can buy you physical wellness through awesome modern medicine if you eat well, exercise, dont smoke or use drugs. So money is good, but it isnt everything. There is no shame in being poor - none. Faith is free. Fresh air snd sunshine are free. Stars in the sky are ours to look at. God does not charge us for nature and it is incredibly beautiful- and free!

The ability to change the past.

Sure, money can let you do more things in the future, but nothing can change what has already happened.

Regrets you have can never fully be erased.

So instead of worrying about things, just do them.

Don’t be too timid or worried or safe.

To quote Casey Neistat:

Your question is really appreciable. At this time, almost everyone is running for money because they think that the rich person lives more happily comparable to the poor one.

But literally, there are a lot of things that no one can buy with money. The things are:

1. Happiness.

2. Peace of Mind.

3. Self-esteem.

4. Confidence.

5. Age.

6. Love

7. Respect.

8. Relationship.

These are the things which money can't buy.

Right. But just like how there is a good for every bad, there are some good officers too. Right from the brink of Independence to the fall of governments, I can point out a lot of officers who signed their death warrants or early retirements instead of the adulterated contract, just because money couldn't buy them. A few names:

  1. The extraordinary tale of an ordinary man- Shanmugam Manjunath: Shot dead for sealing two petrol bunks which sold adulterated petroleum.
  2. Death of an Indian braveheart: 10 facts about IPS officer killed-Narendra Kumar: Murdered while chasing a tractor which carried illegally mined stones, the driver ran the tractor over him.
  3. Bulandshahar ki buland Awaaj- DM B. Chandrakala, Banjara Lady IAS: She never hesitated in publicly exposing those people who didn't do justice to their jobs. For which she would be transferred within 6 months everywhere she was posted.
  4. Hats Off: Four metres of cloth, an almirah and IAS officer Rajni Sekhri Sibal: You definitely got to read this one!

I've only scratched the surface and pointed out probably the scarcely known honest officers, just to prove that there are a lot of unsung heroes. So coming back to the question.

No, money can't buy
insane bravery, money can't buy extraordinary courage and money can certainly never buy people who are not afraid to die for what they believe in.

Couple of hours later, she was taken to a hospital. She was happy to see her father on the bed. She went to him gave a peck on his cheek and tried to wake him up, but he lied there showing no signs of life.

It took a long time for her to understand, that he was met with an accident and succumbed to a head injury.

Millions of rupees, if spent on that corpse won't bring it back to life.

Time… money can buy you lots of things. But time is not one of them. Sure you can buy more time to pay back a loan, more time to re-take a test, time spend with a person, but money cant buy back time with a person you have lost due to death.

Sure money can buy what you feel or think is love, but that money will never buy that true feeling that when you meet someone, the flutters that are in your heart, the yearning to see them again and the feeling of sheer joy by just being around that person for possibly years to come.

Money cannot buy love from an animal. Sure you can buy a dog, but if you mistreat this dog, you can lay all the dollars you have in front of this animal and if she/he is not happy you will NEVER get a tail wag from this creature.

Money cannot buy a smile from a 1 year old face as they see you and are happy to see you. Money cannot remove the tears from this same 1 year old face as they have smashed their finger in a door. So.. money cannot buy real genuine feelings.

When money is a scarce resource and people are not sure if they can get to eat tonight, all the patience is shattered, morals are foregone, character is soiled and even love is lost only to earn a piece of bread which many of us can easily toss away without thinking about twice. Also what about a medical need that requires money that some of us couldn't arrange?

Time. Currently your lifespan is finite. You can rent some back by paying someone to mow your lawn but this does not move the needle significantly if you've blown 1,3,5,10 years doing something you regret. If it takes an hour to mow your lawn once a week you can only get back 52 hours per year... That is assuming you spend less than hour earning the money to pay for the service. Net you're getting back less than an hour probably.

True happiness isn't found in how much money you have or the stuff you have. Happiness is found in the connections you have, the people you know, or simply satisfaction with your life.

Sure, there are some people who would only want to hang out with you for money, but these are not true friends. True friends, people who you are deeply connected with, who you can talk about anything with, who will call you out when you are doing something wrong, who make you a better person. Some people say that money isn’t the most important thing in this world and there are a lot of other things that matter much more than the amount in your bank account. There will also be people who will argue on it and say that it’s any day better to cry in a BMW than on a public bus. Well both the arguments are right in their own way but here’s what I think. Money is of course very important and it’s easier to talk about insignificance of its role in one’s life when you have your pockets filled with just enough cash. But it is definitely not the most important thing as it cannot buy you everything you need and want for your happy existence. So while you are busy earning those bucks to get you a comfortable lifestyle or just serve your greed, also ponder upon these important things that money cannot buy.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
You might have got a degree from one of the costliest institutes in world but the sky soaring fees you have paid doesn’t ensure to widen up your knowledge or provide you experience about many worldly matters. A colleague with less fortune can still be more wise and experienced than you, which will advantage him to grow ahead in his career where your fancy degree or your money won’t work. For knowledge, wisdom and experience cannot be bought but just acquired with time and effort.

RESPECT
Being respected among fellow humans evokes a feeling of positivity and a sense of confidence. Everyone wants to be respected in every domain of their life. Respect from family, respect at workplace or respect among society, it sure is an important thing that one wishes to achieve. One can gain this respect by working hard and being a noble person and you just cannot buy it with money. Owning a great fortune might make some people behave nicely in front of you to get in your good books but usually that is just a masquerade and the true respect from heart cannot be bought but only earned.

HEALTH
Money will buy you expensive hospital treatments, numerous medical policies, as much pills and tablets as you need or even a full time nurse but good health? Naah! Health has more to do with your lifestyle, your habits and also your genes. And money cannot do any kind of alterations in that. If you keep neglecting your health issues just in the race to earn more money, then one day you might have to end up in a hospital bed with millions in your bank but not a healthy body to spend them.

GOOD FRIENDS
Good friends are an uncompromisable part of one’s life. They can be your support when everything else fails and make your world a better place to live in. Now you may earn some cool points among your schoolmates or your colleagues for owning an ultra-luxurious ride or spending huge bucks on everything fancy and nice but you are nowhere near to making good friends. People surely get attracted to someone who is rich but that’s just for money the rich guy/girl can spend over them. Whereas, a genuine friendship doesn’t come with any price tag.

LOVE, CARE AND CONCERN
Love is a magical thing that everyone wants in their life, to feel special, blessed and well, loved. One can never plan or intend to fall in love, it just happens. One cannot make others love them or care for them. And one can sure as hell not buy this using any amount of money. Then it can be love from your parents, from your siblings, your friends or your spouse. One’s riches do flatter others and can buy them infatuation or lust but that’s not something you would want at all. The care and concern from a person, affection and intimacy are way beyond to be valued in currency notes.

A WARM AND HAPPY FAMILY
Our family plays a paramount role in our growth as a person and making us reach at the stage wherever we are. Where a happy family has a healthy and positive influence on each of its members, a cold and detached family is what nobody likes to have. And even if you earn lots and lots of money you can never buy the closeness and the intimacy which is supposed to be there among the family members. For it grows only on spending time together and sharing significant as well as trivial things with each other.

INNER PEACE
What will a person do with millions and billions of bucks in bank but no peace of mind? Inner peace cannot be bought with money but one can cultivate it only with his thoughts. It comes when one accepts everything that life has to offer and is able to find some positivity out of the most negative of situations. A person’s thought process guides his mental state and can help achieving inner peace where money comes of no use. In fact many times money is the reason which robs us off this peace because we keep stressing upon how to earn it, save it, increase it or spend it.

TIME
Gloria Tesch said that “Time is the most precious gift you can give to someone, because if you give someone your time. It’s a part of your life that you will never get back.” That’s the most intriguing part about time that once it’s gone it can’t be brought back. You can spend your life chasing after the insignificant things and even though you have earned a million bucks, those can’t bring back the bygone time. The moments which you skipped on spending with the important people in your life just because you were busy with your work will never return. You can’t use any amount of money to turn the clocks around and also time machines are not available in market yet!

HAPPINESS
Happiness is the main driving force in our life and ultimately all we want is to be happy. Study, get a job, earn money, get married and be happy. Isn’t this the most sought after life plan of every other human being? But true happiness is often found in little things that are way beyond to be bought using money. A smile from a stranger, a giggle from a new born, a hug from your best friend or a kiss from your lover. You can buy none of these and they still make you happy much more than money ever can.

DOESN’T IMPRESS ME.

this guy’s cute and sincere smile and the looks of failure made me like him. What I didn't like about him is that he had this “I'm gonna fail" looks on his face. But ma sha ALLAAH overall.

Months passed and one day he tried to give me MONEY. There goes all his impressions upon me, down the gutter drain. Because the country I belong to, here men think that girls only want money.

Now that was when he failed! Miserably!

I like his smile ma sha ALLAAH, I liked how he keeps himself fresh, his hair, his clothes clean and crisp, his courtesy, his manners, everything was ma sha ALLAAH great, but his thinking?

Yeah he failed miserably.

Money has made the guy too arrogant now his smile is not that sweet and cute anymore. It seems more of an evil, or a challenging smile, or something between evil and sarcasm. I miss his smile and who he was before he had money.

So yes, people do only want money. But if this thinking is eradicated, there can be pure love found. Pure love has been obscured by this thinking that I don't know who has instilled in the human race.

Yes, money can truly buy you everything. But faith in ALLAH.

If you're sick, people's love and care won't cure you.

If you want a house, people’s love and care or a woman’s beauty won't buy you a house.

If you want to rid of law, people's love and care won't free you of law.

You will need money for all of that.

Believe me, I have tried to sell her off several times but no-one will have her.

The more of it one has the more one wants.” Studies show that he was right, to a certain extent.
