Having worked at companies which do and don't offer free food, at this point I believe is penny wise and pound foolish for a company to not offer their employees free food.

It might attract you in a way free food initially attracts you as a student, but it retains you in a completely different way. If you are working in tech, you make enough that if you don't like the food, you can just go eat somewhere else.

It doesn't just affect productivity, it affects your company culture.

The team building and time saving benefits are huge, and far more than the cost of the food.
