The road from Kathmandu to Pokara (Prithvi Highway) is both scenic and scary. In addition to beautiful views of the Himalayas you will see vehicles that have ended up in the river chasms - YIKES! A visit en route to the Manakana temple via cable car is worth the stop. I chose to return to Kathmandu via air, but was glad I experienced this joy ride.
