When on a cycling trip near Lyon, me and my friends pulled into a bistro for lunch. We read the menu in french since we speak good french. There was an item called ‘frogs legs’ - which we ordered to eat the typical french dish on our holiday.
Once it arrived and we were eating it, we remarked how much the taste resembled chicken, it was uncanny. We expressed this to the waitress when she collected our plates and she remarked - ‘well of course - frogs legs is just the local nickname we have for eating the meat around a chickens wishbone…’
Doh!
