I'll keep this simple. Decided to read the Book of Mormon at age 26. One night, about 2 chapters in, I felt the urge to ask if what I was reading was true.
Knelt down. Started to pray. Just as I began to ask of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the spirit came over me stronger than I ever imagined. It was a feeling I had never felt before. It was so strong, that I couldn't deny it...I still can't deny it to this day.
I still, to this day, have never felt the spirit as strong as I did during that prayer. Not even close.
I didn't fully convert until about 6 years later...until I was completely ready to make the commitment.
