I happen to work at a startup based in Navi Mumbai, where people address their colleagues by their CounterStrike player names, where people take funny photos of each other and use it as memes on WhatsApp groups, where people prefer to hang out with their colleagues on weekends despite spending a good part of the week with them. I work at Crowdfire, where we work hard, play hard, and 'Fuck it. Ship it. Move on to the next.'
I'll give a detailed description of our work culture. After all, delight is in the details.
We have flexible working hours, cool work space, and MacBooks which we are given on our first day of office. Did I mention that we get weekends off?
Do you know how we welcome our new team members in JustUnfollow (JU)?
Yeah, this is our 'Welcome ceremony' followed by introduction and mild leg pulling sessions. Perfect icebreaker!
Our kitchen and fridge are always stacked with food- healthy and junk, drinks- juice, smoothies, and alcohol.
And then there's good music which someone or the other keeps on playing. We eat, drink, laugh, dance, and get shit done. Sometimes, I wonder why I don't feel so tired after a long day in office.
We are high on entropy. Always.
We work hard.
We play hard.
We party harder.
We take a lot of photos and we do not need any occasion for that. My god! Three months here, and I have more than hundred's of pictures in my folder titled under 'JU madness'.
And now at a team strength of 28, we do not even fit in a group selfie.
The best thing I like about my office? There is a mutual respect for each other here, and no one is above or beneath anyone. It was after coming here that I realised that colleagues can also be friends. We have people from different backgrounds and different parts of the nation.
In good times or bad, we have each others' backs. At JustUnfollow, we believe: One for all, all for one.
We even celebrate each others' birthdays.
And give them the infamous birthday bombs.
We also believe that it's never too late to pursue your hobby. Here's a click of the rockstars of JU:
We have worked on weekends sometimes, stayed late in office without any complaints, and I'm still waiting for the infamous 'Monday Blues' to hit me. I guess that says a lot, doesn't it? :)
Hang on, here is a bit deeper insight into our workplace culture:
:D
EDIT: Honestly, I did not write the answer as a PR stint. But I've been getting a lot of messages from people asking about how to apply. So I'm mentioning it here: If you're interested in becoming a part of the JustUnfollow team, feel free drop us a mail on hangout@justunfollow.com with links to your public profiles and your resume. :)
