Irodov is a beautiful book with some very interesting problems in it. It becomes a memorable experience if you solve it regularly. I'll be telling you my ‘Irodov’ story.

I started solving Irodov in class 10. You might get overwhelmed, but it was because I had completed the essentials of Physics asked in JEE from HC Verma in class 9 itself. However, I used to solve mechanics questions at that time. And since I was self taught(I decided not to go to coaching that year, and they don't teach such stuff anyway. Plus I didn't like to ask teachers for solutions), I used to take a lot of time.

It took me more than an hour to solve problems at that time. But since I didn't have anything else to do, I used to sit for hours doing it. It was real fun(as they say, these books give 'orgasms' to Physics nerds). I was doing this for NSEP, but however I missed by a small margin then(because I was from Rajasthan, I the state with the highest cutoff). I felt a little broken when I didn't clear NSEP, but then I felt better when my teachers told me that I had scored much more than many bright class 12 students(there was a common paper for all).

But then, I realized that it helped me in improving my Physics a lot. I hardly had to struggle with physics later, because of my early preparations. After that, I probably stopped solving Irodiv until next year, when I was in 11th and cleared NSEP. I decided to do a 'crash course' of Irodov and Krotov, and I used to solve 30+ questions from Irodov every day. Trying to manage my JEE preparation. It took me immense effort.

Luckily, I managed to solve all the 'relevant'(mean JEE relevant, about 80% of Irodov) problems before INPhO 2016. I was fully prepared, but due to my stupid mistakes, I didn't qualify again. This time I was really broke. I had covered the entire JEE Physics syllabus in one year just for this exam, and I didn't get selected. I decided to ditch Physics forever(probably the worst decision of my life ever, and the best one too in many ways), and started studying for JEE ‘only’. I used to solve Irodov, but only as a revision tool for tests in my coaching.

And I completed Irodov once again by the time I was done with class 12. As far as I remember, I completed Irodov once again for INPhO 2017. This time, everyone was pretty sure I would make it. But surprisingly I didn't. All my teachers and friends were shocked. I again did a graph plotting error in a question which carried 30+% marks and hence lost a lot of marks which were easy. I missed by a small margin again.

Now I was completely detached from Physics and stopped solving Irodov, Krotov and all other books w...
