Anything (with a few exceptions) can be returned within 90 days with a receipt. If you lose the receipt and paid with a credit card or check they can look up the receipt with the credit card you used or checking account info. This look up feature should work for 90 days from date of purchase. Returns within 90 days of purchase will be in cash if you paid with cash or credit to your credit card, etc. If after 90 days or you have no receipt you will receive store credit but need an acceptable form of ID.
Some items may not be returned. If you purchased a utility trailer and received title to it, it may not be returned. Custom mixed paint may not be returned. Any tools powered by a gasoline engine (such as a lawnmower, chain saw, etc.) is returnable only within 30 days & with a receipt. After that it will be sent out for repair. Perennial plants (not annuals) may be returned within one year of purchase but only with a receipt. Items bought from Home Depot dot com may be returned to a store within 90 days of purchase with a receipt.
