This is where pilots sleep on long haul flights in relation to the aircraft. And because a picture is worth a thousand words check out all the images below.
(Pilots sleep in any one of these beds on Long Haul flights. Often over 50% of the journey is spent in here).
The pilots rest area above the first class cabin. (Boeing 777)

And an Airbus A380 (Notice the completely unnoticable door above 3 steps)
In this case the pilots quarters are somewhat in the middle of the fuselage but tucked to one side.
Airbus A350 and X WB (Wide Body)
In this case the Pilots quarters are below the main compartment. But still very cosy!
Now the Cabin Crew quarters are a little less glamorous but still all flat and cozy all the same.

And if you wondered how to get to these places on an Aircraft, ALL the Cabin Crew know the plane inside out, they have to (as they get rated for different aircraft just like Pilots do to be able to fly them, crew can’t do a flight if they don‘t have the training for that particular plane type/model i.e. A380 and so on). They use these doors and stairs EACH and every long haul flight. Check it out for yourself on your next flight at the very back of the aircraft in the galley.

The door is almost hidden but it is at the back of the aircraft near the toilets. Crew go here when the lights are dimmed and all of us can’t see. ;)
Happy and Safe Travelling.
