Similarly, if police can't do anything about it, why just report them and waste your time.

Few months ago, I received a call from a guy who claimed to be from SBI and asked me about my card details for renewal. I knew it was a fraud call, so I just tried to avoid and disconnected. Later I went on to report about this matter to the police but the answer I got was the usual one - they keep on changing numbers, so it's difficult to trace them. You don't have to worry because you have lost nothing. Next time just be more alert.

Naaaaice. They don't understand that if they don't take any action on them, don't make it a national news, they will keep looting innocent people.

Henceforth when I received calls from them, I just tried to act innocent and wasted their time until I surprised them at last. These two have been my favorite incidents when they called as a SBI employee:

1. Same story as usual, I gave all my details with minor changes. When he asked me if I received a message, I said yes and pretended to read out the following - *some gali* agar tere jaise chor itna dimag laga sakta hai, mein toh engineer hu bey, kuch acha kaam karle chain ki maut marega.( *Cuss words* if a theif like you can use his brain to this extent, I'm an engineer afterall. Go do some good work so that you can die in peace ) 😂
2. Once they did a blunder, called me on a Sunday afternoon. I was like - in my place, SBI people don't give a sh*t to your query on weekdays, but you have called me proactively on a Sunday afternoon. Better luck next time 😜

I know, this will keep on happening until no strict action has been taken against them or there is much awareness among people. So better have some fun and waste their time.

Even I got a call from 9006183458. He said I am calling from ATM Card Department and need some information. I asked him Which Bank ? He mumbled and said I need to map your ATM Card number to AADHAR card immediately. If not your Card will be blocked.

Immediately I understood its a fraud and started recording call. He asked My Name, Address, Debit Card Number, Email ID, CVV Number and AADHAR number.

I responded with all fake details and asked all details are correct ? He said Ya your details are correct and I am mapping your Aadhar to ATM card.

At last gave some Nice scolding to him and he disconnected call.

Beaware guys - 9006183458 this is the number from which I got call. I have marked it as Fraud in True caller please be cautious if you get call from this number

Don't waste your time any Meta platform doesn't care about if that happens to you or anyone. If you do report them even if you have actual proof all you will get is a computer generated response that they are glad you reported it. If you pursue it you might be the one who is removed from the platform. What I would do and have is go online and post any information about them pictures emails phone numbers and ask for people to annoy them. But if you expect to recover any money don't fall for all the scammers that say they can recover it. Just block them and Karma will eventually catch up with them.

It is quite easy, they follow certain steps. Let me walk you out with those.

1 - They will send you a text message saying you have won something.

2 - They will again send you the same message with different credentials.

3 - Now they will text you on Whatsapp or they will call you within 1–2 days. They start their conversation along the lines of “Sir we are calling you because you have shopped recently on Amazon and you have won the lucky draw. We have sent you a link on Whatsapp to verify your details.”

• see , my suggestion is if scam is from whatsapp, there is no customer care related assistance . I think in my personal view on whatsapp is a platform of secured medium as far as u r legal limit goes.
• so if any fraud occures from frauders or scammers first we have to know from where it happened it is financial it is better to complain in u r appropriate bank and tracking is the key to get money back if we respond slowly we all know whatsapp is end to end encrypted platform and for scammers it is heaven to escape and to change there whereabouts.
• if crime is kind of pishing or any malware if any personal information stolen it is better to give complaint in cyber security related officers they can rescue u .
• final conclusion is that if any fraud occures knowing from where it happened and reacting quickly is the weapon if we respond quickly we can minimise the crime half. after that offence related branches will take care the fraud. with out questioning we should not disclose our personal data. they will manipulate still we should be careful and crosschecking parallelly is the remedy.
• no crime will take place without persons consent. so while giving consent better to think twicely and giving permission is good thing . these days crimes became complex without persons consent also still some attacks are happening. so we cant do anything in that scenarios it is better to reboot or to remove viruses from systems is the solution. always use some anti virus apps something to keep u r spaces securely.
• so maintaining distance from unknowing websites and advertisements and malwares is better.
• Finding location of scammers is very difficult for concerned authorities and as well as for us .if we complaint late even more difficult to catch. if scam is very minimal it is better to avoid these kind of attacks by not entertaining them. if scam is big it is giving complaint as soon as possible is good.

I’m going to try to make this easy for you,you can’t! You can but what I’ve found trying to fight scams /cons is though you can report through many agencies and groups,knowone cares! The main problem with WhatsApp is, it doesn’t allow you to record any audio or video calls made through WhatsApp.
And, this restriction is absolute, and there is absolutely NO WAY to bypass this feature. You may mail it to WhatsApp, asking for the validity of my above claim.

They will reply to you, “Sorry, this functionality is not available in WhatsApp, yet. We are constantly working to improve our services”.

You may use your phone’s screen recorder or any other third-party applications that can record calls. But, if you value your privacy, do not install any 3rd-party application.

And, without any such proof of the call, you can't just file an FIR to the police. You may show them the call logs, and the timings of the call.
But, that will not be of much help, unless you are someone VIP.

But, yes, you can always file an FIR to the police, give them the number, and the call logs of the number.
