Here are some of the "mini habits" that I follow everyday:
1) Write Journal - I write journal everyday to keep track of my progress so that it wont slip out of my mind. Sometimes it takes more than 5 min. But, the result is amazing. When I evaluate myself at the end of each week by reading about my progress that I wrote about myself, I feel good and motivated to make more progress in the next coming week.
2) Drink fresh green juice in the morning - It will take less than 5 min to make. But it will boost your energy level like anything. It will detox your body. The best book I found on juicing is The Jucieman's Power of Jucing (http://www.amazon.in/The-Juicemans-Power-Juicing-Delicious/dp/0061153702) by Jay Kodrich.
This is an excerpt from the book "Who will cry when you die?" by Robin Sharma. "If you owned an Formula One race car, you would not think of fueling it with anything less than premium-grade gas. Anything else would reduce its performance. So why would you put anything less than the best foods into your body, which is even more valuable performance vehicle?"
3) Listen to some motivational podcast - If you don't find time to sit and read a book, you can always listen to podcast like how you listen to music while doing any other work. This will bring lot of change to your thoughts. Yes! You can find lots of podcasts that plays less than 5 min in Google.
4) Plan your day and prioritize things - For planning your day, Robin Sharma Weekly Design System weekly design will help you. For prioritizing things, Simplify life.pdf will help you.You can also follow Jerry Seinfeld technique
5) Write thank you notes - When someone helps you, don't forget to write thank you notes. You will end up in growing your friendship/professional network in a good and positive way. Yes! It wouldn't take more than 5 min.
I will add some more on my edits!
