Cofounder at http://hackreactor.com · Updated 9y ·
(Note: if my answer is at the top, please also scroll down to Quora User's, below. It's a good one, although Jeff was not certain whether MKS has adopted H/R's hours, which it has.)
I'm a cofounder at Hack Reactor, but I now work in the umbrella organization that governs H/R as well as MKS and other schools. Here's my perspective:
- Hack Reactor and MakerSquare are very similar schools (as is Remote Beta and some other schools that haven't launched yet).
- They share the same curriculum, program and job placement methods. (This is because they're all partner schools.)
- The key lectures at MakerSquare are administered by video (which is how Hack Reactor and Remote Beta work as well to varying degrees) for a number of reasons. I wouldn't advise you to prioritize this concern too much.
- Right now, nobody has to think about it too hard because MKS has open seats and HR does not, so the decision has already been made.
Summary: hard to go wrong, it's sort of like "which awesome taco stand do I go to". Doesn't matter, the tacos are delicious either way.
