Yes.
The entry cost is high, but maintenance, efficiency, longevity, and useability make up for it.
The two best things about LEDs are the efficiency and longevity. If you install them they will last for years or even decades. The thing about them is even after they lose light they just output less light. That LED bulb may very well put out just 70% of original light 60 years from now. But in terms of full output an LED bulb should last about 5 years continuous output, 6 times longer than CFL.
They are obviously very efficient using a fraction of the power as incandescent. They use a fraction of the power as incandescent and still slightly less than CFL. On top of that they put out less heat than incandescent which, in Texas, is very helpful when cooling a house in the summer.
The maintenance aspect is just the fact you won't be replacing it hardly ever. Also they are very durable since they have almost no glass to break. Plus if you do break one there are no harmful chemicals like CFL.
Useability is just my own personal preference but I hate how CFL's warm up. Like the old incandescent, LED bulbs are instantly on. No warm up time.
Literally the only reason I haven't replaced every bulb in my house is because it came with CFL bulbs.
