I'm not sure social skills can be picked up quickly.
They need to be instilled and practiced over time, but:
I taught my three children (two boys, one girl);
to have a firm hand-shake. We practiced it.
Not too hard, certainly not limp and soft, and with no dominance play.
to look people in the eye and make sure they remembered their names by using it a couple of times.
that no matter what they think of someone, everybody has some quality that's worth finding.
I told them to remember that they are not 'better' than anybody else but that they are no 'worse' either.
never to lose their temper, but that it was sometimes OK to 'loose' it.
that there are some people who toes need to be stepped on until they apologise to you.
and above all, always be polite. If they offered an insult they have already lost. (A point many Quarans might consider!)
