I'm currently heading towards my mid-thirties. I believe one of my biggest mistakes is focusing so much on work and my career while letting everything else take second place. Especially my health, friends and family.

Throughout my mid 20 twenties and up to now, I worked super hard. Putting in major hours and just cranking it. Wake up, sleep, work, do it again.

I let my health really slip and didn't put in as much effort towards relationships as I should.

Looking back, I can barely remember anything from those years. They just blew by for some artificial goal.

So now I'm going to be spending part of the prime of my life reversing everything. Instead of being prime and ready to go in my 30's, I'll be spending the the time to get healthy and rebalancing things. At least my 30's aren't completely gone. I caught it early.

Be healthy. That is priority 1. Don't get into your 30's being slow and tired all the time. It sucks.

You can always sit down and work. You only have a period of time where you're at your peak physical. Use that shit up.

Don't just work. Make memories. The older you get, the harder it is to make meaningful relationships. Foster those up while you're young.

And go somewhere besides home and work. This is part of making memories.

Have balance. Really I've chased the career + money thing and it's only made me more and more cynical. Don't be a cynical dude.
