Intelligence can be understood in so many ways. Personally, I prefer the very broad definition, like theories of multiple intelligences. In the end human mind tends to put it all together and take it from there. So I spent a moment thinking about my own efforts to improve my performance in the world, and 'intelligent behavior' is most often graded by the results of that performance.

Okay so here are few things that I've been doing:

1) Improve your memory: Joshua Foer: Feats of memory anyone can do | Video on TED.com

2) Continue studying mathematics: Khan Academy

3) Try "Mathemagics"(ted.com) – for new thinking perspective.

4) Learn new language, speak it, sing it and use it. Get a penpal, do language exchange or even better go to cafe linguistics.

5) Introspect and reflect yourself, write down so you can return to these thoughts!

6) Open your mind: meet new people, talk to them, and learn about them. Collaborate with them. It is the one blessing of social animals, that we can actually communicate and work together towards common objectives.

7) Read books, read them on different languages.

8) Learn to study and always look for more ways to improve your habits.

9) Develop mindfulness, be more present, develop empathy towards all beings.

10) Always take notes / records of the brilliant thoughts you get through the day

11) Push yourself out of the comfort zone to do a little bit mental workout

12) Diverse, healthy diet to fuel you & your thoughts. Also noteworthy is the amounts of foods you consume, this might have effect how well your thinking works after a heavy meal.

13) Check the facts from multiple sources: correct your reality.

14) Invest in loved ones, friends and family. I hear since ancient times dime has been best spent to friends stomach, so that in the times of trouble you’ll have at least someone around to help.

15) Get lost and find your way back: great way to map the world. It develops spatial intelligence.

16) Play the Go (game). It is really easy to start – yet hard to master. Go is a game where using your all brain and thinking dimensions is the key. Go Problems are also nice challenge to day, like any other puzzles.

17) Become more intelligent by planning your action. Create timetable / time slot for each activity you would like to pickup and commit to it.

18) Avoid or at least moderate toxic stuff (Smoking / Alcohol), they won't help you in this quest.

19) Be humble, keep learning.

20) Walk & exercise. There is no doubt that the more blood flowing into your brain, the better your performance. Also great thinkers like Mahatma Gandhi and Charles Darwin were famous for their long walks.

21) Lumosity - brain training games. Amazing thing there is that it matches your skill level, so you’ll be always challenged. Personally I’ve been training now 42 days as of now, and I think that is the key to be able to recommend this now. Lumosity Research: Completed Research Behind Lumosity

22) Play music. It helps to relax & shape your thinking patterns.

23) Rest. This is incredibly important especially when you are pushing yourself to the limits intellectually.
